Phase 2: Preparation
At this stage your school and the Digital Schools Coordinator will have been informed that your registration is successful. Now is the time to start getting the information you need ready.
Contact other Digital Schools in your area or other schools that are similar to your school by clicking on "Locate Digital Schools" link. The Digital Schools Coordinator will be able to identify suitable contacts.
Click on the “Digital Schools Criteria” link on the menu at the top of the page to get more information on the criteria.
Select the “Self-evaluation tool” link, on the left menu bar, to help you identify any kea areas that may need to be addressed in order to meet the criteria.
If possible arrange with contacts to exchange school visits to avail of practical advice and support on meeting the criteria.
The documentation pre-requisites required by the school in preparation for validation are:
- School ICT Policy
- AUP
- Schools Online evaluation report
- Appropriate Web presence (website)
Once your school is satisfied that the documentation is ready and that the criteria are met it is time to apply for a Digital Schools Validator to visit the school.
The school contacts the Digital Schools Coordinator by email stating that they wish to apply for validation visit.
