Irish Teacher scoops world class award at 2007 Innovative Teachers Forum (ITF)Teachers from around the world met to share ideas, recognise excellence of their peers at the ITF.  In all eighty nine teachers were recognised for their creativity and innovation in the classroom as part of Microsoft Corp.'s worldwide Innovative Teachers Forum . The Innovative Teachers Forum is the culmination of a series of regional events designed to honour outstanding educators for their contributions and provide them with a forum in which to collaborate and share their expertise with peers from around the world.

"This event celebrates the best and brightest teachers in the world, and demonstrates how they are using technology in innovative ways to change the way their students learn," said Ralph Young, vice president of Worldwide Public Sector at Microsoft,

In the Innovation in Content category first place went to Ireland and Tommy Maher, from Clontubrid National School in Co Kilkenny with a project his school developed entitled "Don Quixote Impossible Dreamers". To read more about the award here.
